Hello!
Following a notice from the Hong Kong Federation, the recent issues have been concentrated as follows. Please be aware of this
1、 Please pay special attention to packaging issues: all shipments from federal channels must have solid and stable cardboard boxes, fully filled interiors, and thick all around to avoid returns and other issues caused by such issues. All costs and issues incurred shall be borne by the sender unconditionally!
2、 Reduction of express customs clearance fee (subject: warehouse clearance fee): Good news, the express customs clearance fee for all channels transshipped through Hong Kong has been updated to 1 RMB/KG, and the execution date is January 27, 2018 (00:00) until next notification
3、 Hong Kong dollar exchange rate reduction: Good news, our company's Hong Kong dollar to RMB exchange rate has been updated to 0.84, execution time: 2018-01-27 (00:00) until next notice
4、 According to FEDEX notification, Egyptian customs have implemented mandatory customs clearance regulations for goods worth over $2000 (inclusive):
A Personal effects with a value exceeding $2000 (inclusive): The recipient is not allowed to import personal effects and goods with a value exceeding $2000 (inclusive). If any such goods are found to have arrived in Egypt, they will be returned to the place of origin, and customs duties and shipping costs will be borne by the sender.
If the value of B's personal belongings is less than $2000, the consignee must provide a customs clearance authorization (LOA) and a valid copy of their ID card to FEDEX in Egypt for customs clearance.
C Commercial goods with a value exceeding $2000 (inclusive):
C1. A certificate of origin must be provided (stamped with the seal of the Chamber of Commerce and the seal of the Egyptian Embassy);
C2. Commercial invoices must be provided (stamped with the Chamber of Commerce seal);
C3. The consignee must provide an original, legal authorization letter (LOA) with the company's letterhead, stamped and signed, along with a formal bank statement to prove that the payment has been transferred to the importer; In addition, it will be possible to provide other additional documents, such as import licenses or industrial licenses, as required by Egyptian customs authorities.
Please communicate with your customers in advance regarding the above requirements to avoid any issues or costs that may result in the return of goods. The sender will bear the responsibility unconditionally!
